Brown University Early Decision Agreement
Our decision will be made in due course in mid-December and applicants who have made a regular decision will be notified on or near April 1. We are not in a position to make preliminary decisions because we are working fully to establish an entire group of admitted students rather than simply deciding whether we are accepting a single candidate. Early Decision is for students who think Brown is their first choice. The program allows first-class individuals to apply for Brown in the fall of their senior year and obtain an admission decision in mid-December. Applicants and their families should be aware that admission through our early decision program is a binding agreement to assist Brown. “Superlatives are not beginning to capture the strength, talent and diversity of this cohort of certified first-time students,” said Admission Dean Logan Powell. “Its boundless potential reflects the university`s commitment to cultivating a university community enriched by the diverse experiences and achievements of its members. We are pleased to welcome this extraordinary group of scholars and guides to the Brown family. As each institution has established, admission agencies can inform some applicants in writing of the likelihood of admission (. B, for example, likely, probable, unlikely), at the earliest on October 1 of the person`s upper school year. Probable letters will have the effect of marketing authorization letters, since as long as the applicant maintains the scientific and personal registration in the completed application, the institution sends a formal offer of admission on the corresponding filing date. An applicant who receives one or more of these written submissions and has decided to be enrolled in an institution is encouraged (but not necessary) to notify all other institutions and withdraw all other applications as soon as possible.
Individuals who request an early decision and who are admitted to the college and not to the LLP will be reviewed in the regular decision on the LSB. Powell noted that the cohort reflects the university`s growing series of initiatives to make Brown training more accessible to students from all socio-economic backgrounds. Of the early decision-making students admitted this year, 495 were students (62%) Financial assistance was requested, an increase of 14% over the previous year.
